If your WiFi extender has been in use for years and is struggling to give you fast speeds or frequently disconnects completely?
You've come to the right place!
After spending hours testing and evaluating hundreds of WiFi extenders over the past year, I've picked four of the top performers. I've determinedthat the best WiFi extender for wirelessly connecting laptops, smart devices, and anything else we rely on in our daily lives is Rextender.
You must be wondering why he stands out, so read on..
Dual Antenna Wifi Booster
WiFi signals travel twice as far. Rextender is equipped with dual antennas, which means you will be able to enjoy a stronger and more reliable WiFi signal in your home or office. You can even enjoy lightning-fast speeds up to 1200 Mbps.
100% pass through the wall.I live in a 2800-square-foot house, and even though we have the fastest internet service, we just can't get a signal upstairs. But when testing the Rextender, the signal covered the entire house and even the garage!
4K streaming is the latest and greatest video streaming quality. Rextender is configured for 4K streaming, which can significantly improve speed and range.
When I tested this feature at home, I was able to stream full 4K movies and shows on all of our favorite TV services (from Netflix to Hulu and HBO) without any buffering-even in the top bedroom of my house!
Works Seamlessly With Your Devices
The Rextender is easier and faster to set up than the Netgear EX6250.
It plugs directly into an electrical outlet, sits flush with the wall, and takes just 30 seconds to power up and run automatically. No technical knowledge is required to use it; just press a single button on the extender to pair it with the router. This not only saves a lot of time but also improves my work efficiency. It really works seamlessly with my device.
Simple and Atmospheric Design
I'm amazed at how small it is. Unlike the other three WiFi extenders, Rextender has a very simple and beautiful design that is not bulky at all.
The Rextender is only two-thirds the weight of the NETGEAR WiFi Mesh Range Extender EX7700.
NETGEAR WiFi Mesh Range Extender EX6250
The EX6250, like the Rextender, performed admirably in HD streaming. Thanks to dual-band and patented FastLane(TM) technology, the EX6250 delivers up to 1750 Mbps performance for demanding HD streaming and online gaming.
The EX6250 can connect up to 32 devices, such as laptops, smartphones, speakers, IP cameras, tablets, IoT devices, and more. It works with any wireless router, gateway, or cable modem with WiFi.
For the fastest speed, just plug a gaming console, streaming player, or other wired device into a single gigabit port.
It's super disappointing that it often stops working, all settings are lost, and I then have to log into the Netgear website to reset the extender from scratch. It's happened at least four times so far.
TP-Link AC1900 WiFi Extender (RE550)
RE550 uses dual-band WiFi to synchronize 600 Mbps on 2.4 GHz and 1300 Mbps on 5 GHz. Strong WiFi signal coverage can eliminate dead spots at home.
The RE550 has AP mode. By adding an AP mode wifi extender, the RE550 can extend the router's wireless range to better cover your home. This is especially useful if you have a large house or one with many walls.
When I turned on the AP mode at home, the signal did increase, but the signal coverage was not as good as Rextender.
By showing signal strength, it helps find the best location for the best Wi-Fi coverage.
The only disappointment was that the unit's light was so bright that I had to cover it at night or it would illuminate the room it was in.
NETGEAR WiFi Mesh Range Extender EX7700
The signal-range coverage of the EX7700 is comparable to that of the Rextender. It can increase WiFi coverage up to 2300 square feet and connect up to 45 devices in my tests, including laptops, smartphones, speakers, IP cameras, tablets, IoT devices, and so on.
The EX7700 is equipped to use your existing network SSID name, which is useful if you have a large house or office and want to be able to move around without losing your connection.
Smart Roaming lets your extender automatically connect to the strongest signal, which helps make sure you always have a strong and reliable connection.
The EX7700 supports WEP and WPA/WPA2 wireless security protocols. Don't worry about network security issues when using.
While the EX7700 is great in terms of performance, it's not plug-and-play, and it took me about 2 hours to get it to work.
Another problem is that the EX7700 uses an American power supply, which is not suitable for Australia. If you don't care much about the above problems, you might want to consider the EX7700 if your budget allows it.
How We Pick
The Latest Technology
My first choice for testing products is those with high technical standards. This helps in handling busy networks with various connected devices.
I simulated a busy network at both ends of a real 2,800 sq. ft. home, running performance tests in every direction to find the fastest and best WiFi extender.
No Lag or Very Little Lag
Even when the network is busy servicing other devices, a good WiFi extender reduces waiting time.
In addition to performance being considered in the evaluation range, price is also one of the factors for selecting evaluation products. I hope to be able to choose the most cost-effective products for readers. Rather than just relying on high prices to win.
WiFi booster is a device that helps to amplify the signal of a wireless router and extend the range to better cover a home or office. This can be helpful in improving the WiFi signal in areas where the router has a weak or obstructed signal.
A WiFi extender is used to extend the coverage area of your WiFi network. A WiFi extender works by receiving your existing WiFi signal, amplifying it, and then transmitting the boosted signal. With a WiFi extender, you can effectively double the coverage area of your WiFi network, reaching far corners of your home or office, different floors, or even extending coverage to your yard. An extender intercepts the signal of your wireless router or switch, magnifies it, and retransmits it. A WiFi extender can be used to extend a wired signal from the main router to a location that requires a network signal.
AP(access point )mode allows you to extend the range of your wireless signal by acting as a repeater with some simple software changes. Use AP mode to make a single network with a wide range that multiple routers can connect to using the same password.
Even the best WiFi has trouble penetrating the thickest walls of a house or office, so relying on a single router may not be practical if you need to connect devices that are far away. By setting up more routers in AP mode, you can grow your network and make sure connections work at the farthest distances.
What is Wired Ethernet Port?
Wired Ethernet ports are physical connection points on a computer or other device that allow you to connect to a network using an Ethernet cable. Ethernet is a type of computer network cable that is commonly used in homes and offices.
To sum up, Rextender is a product with the best overall performance in terms of performance. If you are looking for a wifi extender to increase the speed of your home network and no longer be bothered by a slow and unstable network environment, Rextender is the best choice.
